As I now have a phone with expandable memory, I was wondering what things everyone puts on their SD card? I'm on Kitkat with a Class 10 card.

I was thinking music, photos and movies but keeping apps on the native memory. Or can you put everything on there?

Also, how do you put it on there?!

I move all my downloads to SD card, i have a couple of flashable Zips in there, Roms for various emulators and TV/Movies.

I move them using a file Manager, I use Root browser, but you will need root. I assume regular File browsers allow access to ExtSdCards.

i use estrongs as it has root capability as well as just being a (very good) file manager.

That's the one I have downloaded. Can I literally move files onto the SD card or do I need to name certain folders in order for the files to be found through indexing/directory.

music/photos etc just stick in the folder you want, the gallery should pick up pics/vids etc in different folders automatically.

as for moving other stuff that might be app related, i wouldn't bother.

Music, video, roms, pictures and I use foldermount to redirect certain directory's like downloads, humblebundle, backup files and torrent downloads.

No SD card for me :( but I generally keep my phone pretty sparse, a couple of albums, whatever photos I've taken recently and a couple of games+apps.

I have nearly 20gb of music, around 5 gig of documentaries, a directory full of APKs and all my photos save to the external card + Dropbox. Zooper tells me I have 7.5 gig free.

Just all my music at the moment. May move some recorded videos over if I start stacking up but dont watch any movies on it yet.

Music, photos and videos

Got mine synced up to my server at home.

Basically the sd card is mirrored on a drive on the server and the two pair up each night at 10pm of anything has been added to either

^^^ this ^^^

Means that if, for example, I take some photos then they are auto backed up to the pc at home which then backs them up again to the cloud for redundancy.
