BW 32cdi - i’ve turned it down from 75 to 60 (where the ‘e’ mark is) this year.
We have upstairs on TRVs with the two downstairs just on balanced. The thermostat thing in the coldest spot.
Before the rads would reach high temps and the TRVs then kept the bedrooms from cooking. However the high heat pulse then caused the air temp to warm fast so the termostat would then be happy but you’d get hot-cold cycle until the room bodies warmed up.
At 60ish the boiler is definitely on for longer and the rooms take a little longer to warm but there’s not hot-cold cycle.
Supposedly at 60 the condensing works better this reclaiming more energy from the flue.
The temps of the rad varies so if it needs a small amount of heat to get to the temps the rads warm a little (just a little warmer than touch) but just enough to push the room temp up.
