What do you think I could OC this to on stock voltage?

Looking at slightly OC'ing, don't really want to change any settings apart from the multiplier if possible.

Gellid Tranquillo rev2 cooler

First, idle temps:

Then a few minutes of prime

I'm thinking 4.0 maybe 4.1-2?

And a link to a good guide for OCing my mb would be great :3

x43 should work on auto, you might get lucky tho, some have gone all the way to x46. EDIT: All of those will be fine with your cooler.

Just google ''sandybridge overclocking guide" for a fair ammount of decent guides.

Think mine went to 4.4 on stock volts. Just keep upping the multi and IBT/Priming - all chips are different, so who knows :)

If you want to see the absolute max temps, then run IBT (Intel Burn Test) at maximum stress level :). Aim for 4ghz stock first, then slowly increase it til you BSOD or temps get too high.

Hi
I'm running a rock solid 4.0ghz OC on auto using a -0.07 voltage offset.

Idles at 0.89v (mid 20's C)
Load when gaming etc 1.18v (<40C)

I personally think you're better running with a voltage offset rather than fixed otherwise you lose the benefit of Speedstep.

System has been up and running for over 3 months & never missed a beat:)

Also, I can't really see any point in going higher than 4.0ghz as generally speaking, unless you're running multiple GPU's, this chip will not bottleneck any single card solution.
