Read our review of the BX2350. It's a bit more complete than most reviews and does compare it to the rather fantastic XL2370.

The BenQ G2420HDBL seems to be the one that most people go for as (from what I hear) it is a decent monitor at a reasonable price.

EDIT: My bad, you're wanting it to have an HDMI input. If you do like the look of the monitor, however, you could easily get a HDMI to DVI adapter.

Don't mean to shake things up too much, but there is a reason the BenQ costs less than Samsung's efforts . If you have a budget of just under £250 I wouldn't consider them.

I occasionally use my Dell 24" Monitor with the xbox - Dell S2409W
Does the job really well, good picture as it supports 1080p with HDMI.
No sound built in though, so need to route it through a set of speakers.

The Samsung BX2450 looked ideal but I'm hearng from reviews the HDMI is dodgy, brightness is poor and in general it isn't great?

That from me? in general it's a good monitor, just not on par with the S-IPS I have next to it it's better for games though, it's very responsive, feels a lot better than my 32" Samsung tele does in fast moing games.

I have a HDMI doubler and the PS3 is connected to both the tele and monitor at the same time, I can see the tele lagging behind, probably down to the image processing stuff it does.

How is the HDMI dodgy? I have a PS3 and PC connected to mine, no probs at all?

i recently bought a dell st4210 for £189 with free shipping really nice monitor for the price and has HDMI , no built in speakers though so you would either need to buy a monitor bar or some speakers.

upgraded from an old CRT (very high quality crt that was expensive at the time) and tbh the picture is about as good , blacka are black , brightness is really nice no problems even in fast paced games.
