are there any components you think i should change, maybe save me some money

for the graphics, i already have one, im just getting the one there to see me through til i get the one i already own!

cheers,

tim

Out of interest what card do you already own? Apart from the GFX, it all seems fine to me. I take it you already have a monitor, mouse and keyboard yea?

i would change the SSD to a vertex 2e/corsair force 40gb and the GPU if your going to game. a cooler would also be nice if you want to overclock that cpu but the stock should cope with a mild overclock.

Hi all, I have a Sapphire HD 4850, mightnt be that great comapred to new ones, but it does the job i need it to do, like I like to play the odd game, and it copes more than fine, i reckon.

No plans to overclock, would be happy with the stock tbh.

Why change the hard drive may I ask, what makes it better than the intel, etc?

apart from that, is that an ok machine? anyways i could save a bit of cash, i mean i dont mind payin that much, just if i could get cheaper parts, it would be good haha

thanks for the replies lads.

faster read/write speeds...is it just me or did they just change the prices of the 40gb ssd in the last 10mins? might aswell just go for 60gb vertex 2e since the price of the 40gb corsair force/vertex 2e are really close to the 60gb version :D.
if you have the 4850 why buy another gpu that is slower than the one you have?

cos my card is back home, and wont be able to get it for a month of two, so just want ta buy a cheapo one to see me through til then, yknow.

Hmm, so you think i should defo go for corsair or vertex then yeah? will look em up now,

As for the motherboard, what would set the one I have selected from say a 60 quid gigabyte one or whatever?

cheers

Can't you get someone to post you the card? Of course using a lot of padding or courier. Cheaper then buying that one.

If you want to buy a cheap card, you might want to consider getting an Nvidia one with PhysX or CUDA support? I mean, at that point if you ever encounter a situation where that would be highly beneficial, you have an easy solution?

Build looks good apart from the graphics card. i'd also get the OCZ SSD recommend above.
