Hi there,

I've been working on this on and off for a week or so now, and in my eyes I think I'm finally getting there with the design, and once this is sorted I'm going to follow suit with the forums and the blogs, I plan on having 2-3 trusted people I know write the blogs to keep the content going :p

www.dvno.co.uk

Comments and criticisms much welcome, dig deep and write about any of it, I'm working on IE6 as we speak but I guess most of you'll be either FF/IE7. There are some padding issues on IE :(

I am instantly irritated by the gif image you use which goes through DVNO in my tab bar and my window title, definitely use a still image as if anyone is like me it will put them off viewing the site

Ill write back here with anything else once I haev gone through the site :)

edit:

With multiple tabs it becomes off putting even more lol, they move in sync!

Not sure on the flashing button on the contact Us page either, just screams '90s to me and reminds me of all the early GIF images

The picture of the woman on the right; the white around her goes into the gradient, needs to be transparent or edit the image so it has the gradient on it aswell?

Bit unsure on the footer aswell, have to have a few looks at it and decide, I know it has a gold theme but just not sure if it suits the page, stands out too much really

Haha, there are a couple of similar themed music blogs which have gif favicons, thought i'd follow suit, and the flashing button is akin to the style, if you followed links to the myspaces in the footer you'll notice it's a distinct style that while looking 90s somehow works, I'll think about changing it though.

That picture is an advert that'll change a lot, so I can't change that, I might just put a border on it so it's defined and I'll see what other colours I could use for the footer, it's supposed to be important-ish but I don't want it to be majorly distracting.

thanks for your comments. :)
