Hi! first of all thanks for viewing this post! I know you guys get a lot of people asking about psu's on here
First of all at the moment i have a 700W Psu (OCZ stealthxStream 700w) In the very near future im planning on getting a 2nd 5870 (so ill have two of them in crossfire) well As my psu only has two pci-E connecters (and ill need 4 for crossfire) ive decided MAYBE its time to upgrade my psu. I was wondering about going down the Molex to PCI-e connecters.. but im really worried/scared about using them! I Have a bad feeling my pc will end up going bye bye
lol WELL at the Moment i have
Phenom 955 Oc'ed to 3.6Ghz (from 3.2Ghz)
1 dvd-rom (planning on getting a Blue ray player soonish) (sata)
2 hard drives 1Tb and a 500Gb for backup. (also planning on getting a 3rd to run in raid with my 1Tb) (Sata)
4Gb ddr3 Ram
2 Cathcolds
4-5 Lazer LED's
6 fans
8USB's and a sound blaster.
1x5870 (with plans to get a 2nd)
and MAYBE!! in the future getting watercooling installed on the GPU's and maybe the CPU
My case isnt that big (big enough for 2 5870's) But not a full tower, so i cant really get an extra long PSU as it would bugger up the Top fan. -_- well found this one on the net which was cheapish but looked good. Do you think it sonds good? It was £59.99 (not from ocer's
) Its only 100W bigger than my one at the-mo buy has 4 PCI's and Modules
I was thinking about going to £80 (and at a push £100
) but like i say that one seeme dok
Im not that upto date on Psu's . So if you can cast your educted eye over it. Id be very grateful!
