Hello

After reading many reviews and consulting many people ive finally narrowed down which components im going to purchase.

My current PC specs:

AMD XP1800(JHIUB)@2.2
2GB Generic DDR
SCSI 36GB 15K RPM

Im guessing i should notice a HUGE increase going from that to this:

Intel Core i7 920 D0 Stepping (SLBEJ) 2.66Ghz

Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD5 Intel X58 (Socket 1366) PCI-Express DDR3

Corsair XMS3 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 (1600MHz) Tri-Channel

Noctua NH-U12P SE1366 CPU Cooler (Socket LGA1366)

Corsair Obsidian 800D Full Tower Case - Black (No PSU)

Corsair HX 850W ATX Modular SLI Compliant Power Supply

Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB SATA-II 32MB Cache x2

Intel X25-M Mainstream 80GB 2.5" SATA-II Solid State Hard Drive

Gigabyte ATI Radeon HD 5870 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express

Sony Optiarc AD-7241S 24x DVD±RW SATA Lightscribe Optical Drive

Arctic Cooling MX-3 Thermal Compound

Is there anything ive missed? Anything i should change?
PC will be used for games & graphic design.

Good spec. Will be a heck of an improvement, i still have an old rig with an 1800xp, brings back some memories.:)

Yes, iirc its the famous JIUHB (something like that) stepping. I got 2.3 on air from 1.5.

I understand i will need another 2 or 3 120mm fans for the exhaust on top of the case?
To mount the SSD, would i require an adapter?
Im also concerned about the cooler ive choosen. I narrowed it down to Noctua NH-U12P or corsair H50. Have i made the right choice?

Yep youll need to get more fans if you require them, im sure the 800d comes with adapter plates in the hdd bays. The noctua is a very good cooler, cant say anything about the H50 though as ive never tried one.

Ive seen reviews comparing the H50 to many air coolers. There isnt much of a difference so i thought id stick to something im more comforatable with.

Ive seen the corsair video demonstrating the 800D capabilities. The H50 does go quite well with the case but ive been swayed over to the Noctua due to the whole water in my pc thing. If someone can give a good argument on why i should purchase the H50, id be more than happy to read.
