I don't plan on upgrading this PC for 3 years at least.
I wasn't sure which processor to go for, but the Q6600 seems to be the one to go for, I play games more than anything but as I don't plan on upgrading it, the quad seems the sensible choice?

Graphics wise, I don't know if I should go for £30 more and get the XFX 8800GTX on offer for £220? (My limit on graphics though was £200) and would I see much of an improvement?

I play at 1680x1050 in games and thats what the machine will be used for really.

I wasn't sure about motherboard so I spec'd one which is around the £100 mark, for you guys to decide, is that one good to go for?

The reason for the water cooled built in case is that I want a new case, and I want to do water cooling and for an extra £60 over the P182 I can get both, I really want the WC for keeping the PC quiet and novelty really, I don't want to overclock it at all, ever.

So is everything compatible and does it look good, I don't want to spend more than £800.

Thanks :)

Why not wait on new Quads since you want it to last 3 years, and fact you Game which is still suited to Faster Duals but may not be case in years to come.

Your buying a CPU thats already old, least a new model will have a fresh start on your 3 year target.

I was just thinking of the Q6600 because the Q9450 is another £100 and the speed is 2.66ghz opposed to 2.40ghz and the ache is 12mb opposed to 8mb, would there be a great deal of improvement?

Or theres the Q9300 which is 2.50ghz and a 6mb cache for £50 more?
