...of my latest revision to my site?

www.finaldecap.com

Over the last few weeks I've been working on it and I quite like the current lay out of it all. I'm sure there are tweaks I could do to make it better.

I'm not fussed about C&C on images, if you want to, supply it, but you don't need to, it's more just to see what people think of my site.

Some of the pages have little information on them, that's simply because I didn't view them as being quite as important as the gallery, and they will be updated over the next few days. :)

Nice gallery system - very easy to navigate. Overall design is good and I like the fact you've got the exifs showing.

One thing I was puzzled about - what's the register / login bit for? If that's a way of letting people make comments, then it would be easier to just do that with a simple php scrip or something. If it's just for you, then hide it away somewhere.

First thing I noticed was the header image was slow to download, I wonder whether it could be sliced or optimised? Though, I am on work's rubbish 1mb line at the moment. Also, when you switch between the pages the page seems to jump around (using Firefox) which may just be down to validation or something

Other than that, it's simple and nice :).

You spelt categories wrong on the galleries page.
"to get into contact " should say in contact, not into.
I would suggest you find a script to encrypt your email address, or you may start getting spam. There are some javascripts out there, probably some simple php ones too.

I think you've made a great integration of the gallery mod, and the layout is nice. Colours are cheery and altogether I like it :)

Get some proper car pictures up! :p

Ohh and the fact it says, if you would like to contact rob bit.

Make it contact 'me' as we all know it's Rob who built the site and it's a bit naff :p

Nice, clean, easy to navigate site :) A bit like what mine is going to be :p

Cheers guys.

I liked Gallery2 but only liked the Siriux theme, which I tweaked a bit for my personal touch.

The header I never thought about, it does load slowly on mine sometimes, I can just compress it a bit more and it should be fine.

If the jumping about is what I think it is, then I can't fix that. On the home page, contact, about all the content fits within the window size, but the gallery extends below most window sizes and so puts a scroll bar on the right, which seems to upset Gallery2 a bit, not sure how I can fix that though.
If you mean the bottom div. I suppose I could make the main section a fixed min size to stop that issue...I'll look into it.

My spelling is really bad, thanks for pointing them out though, I often don't notice the mistakes. :)

I'm not all that fussed about email encryption, I've never had issues before, but I may as well put it in really as it shouldn't be much hassle.

As for the login stuff, I need to have at least the login there, so that I can login and edit stuff. But I don't want the register etc. stuff because at the moment it's just to display my work. I may just look into removing all the login stuff and just remember the link I need to use for my logging in.

As for the car pics, I've got a LOT from the last OcUK rolling road, and I need to edit most of them to remove the plates, which is why there aren't many cars on there at the moment.

I will also be renaming all of the images to more relevant ones other than 'dsc_xxx.jpg'. :p
