hey all,

just wondering what everyone uses (if at all) to protect their macbooks / macbook pros, from scratches, etc?

i have seen a lot different solutions on the internet, ranging from plastic clip-on covers, to slip on covers and bags ...

so basically, what do you use, and is it worth it?

cheers :)

EDIT: sorry for title, should read "What do you use to project your macbook" lol

I use the be.ez LArobe sleeve. Its like memory foam and a bit harder than other cases so i think it would protect from shocks a bit better than some of the softer neoprene cases. Its done a fine job so far.

I'd give the neoprene sleeve 7/10. Negative points being i) it wont protect it from a drop ii) it doesn't have room to carry the charger iii) it is expensive for what it is. Aside from that, it has a snug fit, is quite stylish, and keeps it free from scratches and minor bumps.

cool, thanks, i want a case thats gonna be a snug fit for a 15" Macbook Pro, but everyone on the apple site says that those Incase sleeves are too big, and your macbook slides around inside :(

theheyes, do you have a macbook, or a macbook pro 15" or 17"?

i'll keep on looking :)

I use the Incase Neoprene case on my 15" MBP and give it 10/10. It fits the MacBook Pro perfectly, but is a little bit tall for it. But it moving around inside wont hurt it. It's a really thicks sturdy case.

I bought one of those hard crystal cases off the bay for a tenner, they clip on to your macbook. Stays on all the time.

Then i've got a case for when i'm taking it places.

I have a Tucano Microfiber case for my MacBook. In terms of any other protection I don't bother as it's going to get scratched when I use it and I'd rather not be worried about trying to protect it all the time.

If you like them, then look at Foofbags. They're handmade in Australia and ship to the UK and are cheap. I have one for my iPod and iPhone, they're great :)

yea they look funky too :) however the FabrixCase ones look better made, its not to tell though, plus i think i'd like one with a flap cover thing, to keep the laptop in, i can just see the macbook pro falling out of those foofbags, lol

cheers tho :D
