I have 7 of them, but i only actually use 2, to the extent I had to just check what is actually on the others and it looks like it is whatever is there by default.

What do you have on your home screens? I have one with shortcuts to apps like messages and emails and browser, and one with the power widget and a system info widget on it, and that's it. Everything else I run from the app drawer.

i use 3, but could fit everything on 2 screens. i've not changed the layout for over a year.

facebook|twitter|clock/work work stuff|stuff like awful, power control bar, a small notes widget|Calendar combining home&work

Been using launcher pro for a long time, I can't let it go :/

have 7, mostly full of widgets, weather, volume control, utility control, facebook news scroll, email scroll, calendar, mp3 app widget, photo frame and my common icons.

My SGS2 has 5.

1 - wifi/bluetooth/gps/brightness toggle buttons
2 - widgits including battery level and weather
3 - blank, just showing the wallpaper
4 - games
5 - camera facility and link to the gallery

Default is set to 3, which is the centre screen.

1- blank at the mo
2- winamp, android player (temp as winamp is acting up), espn score thingie
3- home screen - time, weather and switches/toggle
4- google mail
5- google calendar

Phone
I just use one, which has clock/weather widget and 8 of my most common application shortcuts (mail, game, fb, flashlight, messages, news, camera, browser).

Tablet
Just one again, with a browser widget (showing 8 bookmarks) and a whole bunch of shortcuts. Used to have a gmail widget but I don't like the idea of my emails being directly exposed if someone uses my tablet.

I tend to just launch apps in the standard way like you would do on a computer of years gone by, never really got my head round widgets. I can see the potential benefits but again from a privacy standpoint I don't really want my life on display all the time, if people want to snoop then they have to actively open an application!

1- powerAMP widget, clock/date/weather widget, a few folders for the basics (maps, media, camera)
2: Large calendar widget.
3: Large Sony Ericsson picture rolladex widget.
4: Functional tools/widgets (flashlight/data connections/settings shortcuts/battery etc) Oh, CM7 moves a few of these to notifications if installed.

The rest is organised in the app draw.

I need that ICS gmail widget :)

1: Clock and a few most used apps
2: GoSMS widget
3: RSS Widget and other highly used apps (+ game folder)

Mildly related but does anyone else think there is a conspiracy in the 'big box' retail stores to fill the Android tablet homescreens full of widgets in order to make the experience less smooth? :p

I mean seriously, is it any wonder that they don't seem quite as fluid as tablets like the iPad or Playbook when there are a dozen clock widgets, seven Calendar widgets and 4 music widgets loaded over 5 screens :p

I agree Rich L. My Orange phone had a few of their own widgets on the homescreens. In the end, I took them all off and added Orange's weather widget and left it at that. The time is always displayed at the top-right of the screen, so no need for a clock widget imo.
