What documentation do I need to take with me while i'm on my bike (CBT only not full license)
I have my cardlicense + the paper copy, breakdown/warranty card, cbt documentation
Do i need to take my registration/tax papers as-well?
Google is very vague...

Riding in the UK? I never take more than my wallet, in which is my plastic driving licence, a card for breakdown cover and a card with contact details in case I'm found in a ditch or something.

If abroad I also take my insurance details and generally always have my passport with me too.

Yes just in the UK
Just want to know LEGALLY what do you need with you?
Can I just take my card license? or do I have to take my paper copy and my CBT certification as-well?

As above legally nothing, and no real reason to either now everything's linked, still carry my card on me though. as that's just in my wallet all the time. As long as they believe you are who you say they are, they can check the rest.
And even if the cab or you really annoyed them, they'll just do a producer where you have to go to a police station with the documents.

The only thing I ever carry is my license ( plastic not paper ), thanks to ANPR etc, everything else is easily checkable at the roadside.

As above, legally nothing...but...

Just carry your photo license so you can be easily recognized if the worst was to happen. God forbid

Nothing, but if you get pulled and don't have your licence card, as far as I know you'll then have to go to the station and show it within x days rather than just being sorted/checked on the side of the road.

My wallet lives in my bike jacket pocket so I always have my card.

For times when emergency identification is needed, do people consider these?

Accident-Emergency-ICE-Tag

Can be found cheaper if you hunt about or buy in bulk (say 10 sets) and some packs include 2 sets of stickers so there's 1 for either side.

Having your photocard licence on you and nothing else will still result in a trip to the station at a later date to show MOT and insurance. Shouldn't be required with all the systems being accessible at the roadside, but it still happens.

I carry my photo card purely because it lives in my wallet and I always wear a bog standard embossed dog tag with my name, dob, allergies and ICE contact number on when I ride just in case I've not got my wallet and god forbid something goes really wrong.

If you're a bit anal.

Photocopy of insurance certificate, MOT, and print out of tax receipt, folded nicely into a plastic food bag, with £20 stuffed in there for emergencies too.

Nope.
I had a proper set of metal dog tags stamped up with my details, for a fraction of the price.

One that shows up often is Biker Tagz or somesuch, but those require you to pay a subscription of something, so your details are held electronically and can be accessed by any paramedic who happens to have the correct scanner... which costs too much for any Trust to care about buying anyway...!!
Another type, similar to Biker Tagz, requires the A&E department to first realise what the heck they are, then to open them up and plug them into a USB port on their computer, whereupon they can read your details... except that the NHS will not allow staff to plug random devices into their systems!

TBH, an ICE entry on your phone, an ICE card in your wallet, a pocket marked with ICE that contains your details... most easy solutions will work best.

I carry my license, Insurance, RAC card & a Debit card & I have a piece of paper with my 2 contact numbers on, 1 for my Big Sister & 1 for the Doris just in case I get ****** up again.

I dont go out of my way to carry anything really. I have my card licence in my wallet but thats about it. No point in putting an ICE entry in my phone as my phone needs a code to unlock it.... an ICE card might be an idea though.

A few manufacturers have actually clicked onto this and allow you to access the ICE contacts straight from the lock screen by passing the PIN which is a great idea it's just a pity it's not a standard feature.
