What does a video editing PC need to have more of?

CPU, RAM, SSD and HDD. Mid range GPU will do.

GPU's don't make nearly as much difference for video work as people think. A decent CPU, lots of RAM and a good HDD setup (ie, multiple drives each with their own task) will get you a lot faster than just chucking a beefy GPU in.
 
Ram and i7, i went from 4690k to 4790k and it made quite a difference in rendering times. plus clock speed. one task that overclocking really does make quite a lot of difference.
