What does being claimed entail?

I'm ashamed to say I'm a n00b here! I was claimed earlier tonight, which was scary but made me feel all warm inside! My GF is a bit jealous, but understands I need to forum to get through days at work!!! :D

Is there some sort of initiation thing like in american schools/colleges - or am I a true member once "claimed"?!!!
 
When someone claims you then you belong to them. You will do what they say, when they say it, as fast as you can. If you're a good slave you may be allowed out on your own after a while. If you're not a good slave, god help you ;) :p

Yeah I know! But I'm still being referred to as a n00b :mad: lol. I want to shed my n00b skin and become a regular. Unless the regulars are like the regulars you get in a pub who are old, red faced and grumble about the old days being better!!! In which case, n00b is fine by me!

You need at least two more digits on your post count to be considered a regular around these parts.

Some of the regulars actually are old red faced moaning beggars, but the rest of us are quite normal ;)
 
Yeh, you need to have your name splatted about a bit to be considered a regular, im not even sure if I am considered a regular in General Discussion yet.

In GD the more spam you produce and the more regular the spammage the more regular you become.

Oh and I forgot a memorable sig is half the battle aswell, think my current one has cracked it, finally!

if you're lucky enough to get claimed by somebody nice... you might get fed, and taught the ways of OcUK... lord help you if Scuzi gets you... or Tru.. they normally forget about their n00bs...

Compliments to Randomtom for putting my idea into practise and adding the lines rather than solid colour, he made a cracking pair of signatures, I use a blue one in my email. :)
