What does everybody do here?

Security Specialist - My role is responsible for all Incident handling procedures, I also provide a Forensic Response Capability into the IR Process.

Something i'd like to get into at some point in the future.

My degree was in Computer Sciences, part of which was a full on investigation into a cyber incident at a fictitious company.

We had to produce SOP's ie secure the scene and also forensically examine the items concerned. Another module was Ethical Hacking and Penetration Testing of another fictitious company - interesting stuff.

I currently run an investigations team, sometimes the task will be cyber related, sometimes not, but i do enjoy the tech side!

Any vacancies coming up at your place?! ;)

Also got drafted it to support Oracle Primavera here which puts me into a niche position of SAP and Primavera knowledge.

I do something along those lines too though would prefer never to have to use SAP again in my life...
Generally a tedious job but made enjoyable by good salary and decent project team.

Redtube watcher?

:p

I take non linear equations describing fluid flow and heat transfer and descretise them (simplify them). I use numerical algorithms to solve those equations on geometries which represent the physical domain.

For example, in a project I've worked on recently, in the engineering industries you have large pressure vessels which boil fluids. Quite often these vessels don't perform according to design. I've simulated boiling flows in these vessels on a computer (1k cores) and have told the guys running the plant where the "dead zones" are, and why they're not getting any boiling where they expect boiling. :)

Other popular applications are simulating air flows over aircrafts to show stuff like aerodynamic drag, simulating flows over F1 cars, even simulating blood flows in constricted arteries to aid in the development of medical devices to prevent stuff like angina and heart attacks.
