Zovirax....... you must have been really stuck for a username !
Its pretty much "get on boy!" in normal speak but couple that with a thick South Devon/Plymouth "janner" accent and "boy" sounds like "bey". Although some people seem to emphasise saying "Bey" just in that phrase.
Other funny words that can be heard in plymouth are "Ideo" instead of "Ideal" and "purpoe" instread of "purple" the list goes on.
Far more understandable as far as im concerned than a thick northern accent though![]()
Sounds like a sheepdog command
i concur, "come by....woot woot woot....come by"
GD at it's finest.
Nope, I dont say "bey" or any of the other stuff. I say "get on" and where's that to" but not in the thick janner accent. So in essence it sounds normal lol!
I am just well versed in the translation of janner due to exposure to it whilst at uni and work.

No, that's GD at its finest! Hooray for pedantry!
Yeah I live in town. It is noisy especially at the weekends but our place is tucked away from the main road so can only hear the bass from nightclubs really.
Trick is just to turn the telly up or get drunk so you cant hear it lol.
Geet onn beyy!!!!!!!! This is a greeting - Allreet bey?!! Get on bey!
Ah I miss my Plymouth accent (people say it's still pretty strong but no where near what it was)
Back in the good old days of going down Milleniums (aka swillenium £10 all you could drink) and Destinys init!
GREEEN ARRRMYY!!!!!
It is a way of identifying yourself as a west country ***** so that people can avoid you or mock you at their leisure.![]()
