so i have been looking for some case lights, i have found some that say it connects to the Molex connection - the only thing is i dont know what a molex connection looks like so i dont know if my MotherBoard has the connection, yes i know silly question :)

The molex connector is a large flat D white connector (about 15mm across this is from memory so maybe slightly bigger/smaller) which has 4 cable going into it from the PSU....they could be a few in your case

The thing on the left is a Molex. They're generally constructed in a way that lets you stick multiple together, having both male and female ends on each connector.

You'd be plugging the LEDs into your power supply, which should have plenty of Molex connectors. (If it's modular, you might have to add a molex cable first).

LEDs aren't exactly power hungry so you should be able to just plug them all onto the same cable.

Right okay thanks, that helps a lot. that should be fine, got quite a few of them spare in my Desktop so i might go ahead and get them and see, they are only a few quid :)

Indeed, and they add a great effect.
Usually they're like spotlights, make sure you aim them at all your favorite components!

Ps. You usually have two cables going into your mobo, one is the large 24pin connector that provides the power for the mobo itself, then you have another *square* 4pin (2x2) pin connector for the CPU, that's smaller.

Those should never be removed, obviously.

Yeah i am thinking of going for the left top and bottom, not sure if i would have the room to put on in the top right - if i did, i would go with top right and bottom left

I got 4, stuck two in each bottom corner, one near the HDD rack, and one at the top of the case in the space between DVD Drive bay and PSU.
Aimed one at CPU, one at RAM, one through the pump/tubing, and one at the graphics card. Acts as a night light as well! I'm considering getting a fifth to illuminate my red UV-reactive unreal tournament logo from the back as well, whenever I get around to ordering something. ;)

Good luck with yours, and don't forget to post pics.

what lights are you using? same as the ones i am thinking of getting?
i seem to have only 1 connection left on my PSU (using all 4 cables)
but i have things connected to all of them bar one, could i use 1 cable connected to the PSU and connect one to the first light?

right i found a molex extender thing (plugs into Molex and gives 4 connections) so that should be okay would these lights be connected to the LED power button? as i have the scout Case which turns the current Fan LED on - if the lights i were getting were red then it wouldnt matter but how will red and blue look?

thinking about getting the case LED fan and placing the 2 above lights around it - maybe get 4 of them so that you get the lights in all directions?

Can't say, mine were some generic red LEDs bought from a local shop. (I'm not gonna go ship a few LEDs overseas x_x)

And yes, (depending on the length of the LED cables) you can just stick all 3-4 together and attach that to the PSU. Might wanna keep that thing out of sight though. ;)

Edit: Do you mean this? http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CB-003-AK&groupid=701&catid=48&subcat=153 (for the molex extender)
Or are you confusing 4pin fan connectors with molex connectors?

Also, no idea what you mean about the case. (Maybe a link would help? I don't know the case)
You don't want anything interfering with your LEDs though, just plug them all *directly* into the free molex cable on your PSU, no case involved. They automatically turn on and off when you turn your PC on/off.
