Hey guys,

Doing and assignment on ebusiness and was wondering what an ebusiness such as OverclockersUK would use cookies for?

We all know a new cookie law on privacy has recently been passed and the option to opt out etc when it was applied never came up on the site, is it being broken?

Cheers

I believe the legislation was changed in the UK at the last minute to exclude cookies that were essential for certain functions like shopping carts, flight searching hotel bookings etc.

Why the big hoo haa about cookies? Nearly every site I visit greets me with a pop-up saying something about this.

This. It's annoying trying to get rid of the pop-ups on Chrome Mobile :(

Edit: obviously I understand the reasoning behind it, doesn't stop it from being annoying :D

Stoopid cookie law, sometimes on mobile it dances round the screen and Ihave to ttryand catch it .
It's just like on games
Next>next>I accept>next>install

Makes no difference except an annoyance
