What does the internet mean to you?

Lo all,

For the screen based media unit of my graphic design degree I have to make a four page website what defines the internet, titled 'What is Web'.

I have a few ideas myself but I thought I would ask a large group that use the internet a fair bit. I'm not asking to you do the work for me or suggest ideas for the site, I just want to know what the internet is to you, or your own definition of it.

I've been looking mostly at what you can do using the internet, but from you guys I would really like a more personal response.

Some are tenuose links, some are more or less repeating the same message, but you get the idea. It's just a starting point

Not brave, just honest, and I would defy 90% of the class to say they had never done it. Also, its not to say what I use the net for, just what it can be used for Isn't there some statistic that says no matter what site you are on, you are only ever 15 hyperlinks away from porn of some kind?
