What does the latency numbers mean please?

Hello,

I've currently got some patriot viper black mamba 2133mhz ram which is running fine but since seeing the Corsair Platinum stuff I've been hankering after swapping to this mainly for looks :eek:.

I'm wanting to buy this...

I'm gathering that as its 2400mhz as opposed to 2133mhz it'll be slightly faster although guessing I won't really see a difference, however can someone shed some light in simple terms what...10-12-12-31 means and if its any good?

Thanks mate, I think I understood most of it lol.

From reading through it seems the quicker memory usually has the higher timings.

I'll order some of that Corsair Platinum for now :-)
