IRQ conflict then. There should be enough to go around, check the BIOS.

The BIOS never lets me change IRQ. I cant change anything in my BIOS as i bought it of HP and they tend to limit what i can change.

Ive also tried to change it in device manager, But auto is blanked out.

I think i'm gonna get myself a new mobo + CPU.

Only other option is uninstall\reinstall of devices and hope they're assigned different IRQs.

Its 1 week old. And my last ram stick was bad so this was a replacement, But my problems wont stop.

Well i was having problems with crashes and restarts, Not able to play any games. So i tested my ram using memtest and it found loads of errors.

My motherboard i DDR 400 and the ram i bought is PC3200 400Mhz Super Talent.

In computer terms it means Death, but in our terms it means fault. Usually caused by a fatal mistake, can mean you have a virus or a peice of hardware isnt working as intended.

also have you tried the RAM in another machine if possible, try stress testing it.

I used to get this a lot with Corsair DDR1 Memory. I narrowed it down to the fact that the memory was supplied with 2.5V as standard, whereas the Corsair page says to supply 2.7. Once I upped the memory voltage to 2.7 then everything was fine.

Check on the website as to what voltage the memory sticks need.

Right my problem has been sorted, For the time being.

I got my father in laws spare 256MB PC2100 ram stick  And tried it in my PC by itself to see if it would run the PC without bluescreens. Well i could not even test it as my PC was to slow, So i put my 1GB PC3200 ram stick in the first slot and placed the crappy ram in the second slot, Which made my PC run at DDR 266mhz instead of DDR400, And the problems vanished and even runs my games now. But i cant have my PC underperforming so ive informed the wife of my impending upgrade. :D

So could someone who is more clued up tell me what the problem was and why this has fixed the problem?????
