Seriously, the amount of people who sit at 50mph on single carriage roads is mad, the A53 specs cameras are the worst i come across, although i see it everywhere.

I'm not saying everyone should do 60mph round hairpin bends, but on long straight roads, at constant speed there is no excuse to do an indicated 50mph.

I always end up getting stuck behind people doing 40 on A roads, completely spoils the journey. Especially when there's no safe places to overtake.

There is sooooooooooo much difference doing 60mph then 50mph

On a related note, IF I undertake a driver doing 50 in the middle lane when the nearside one is free (assuming NSL), will I get a telling off from Bob the Bobby?

On decent a roads i would rather they do 40 as it is a safer overtake, what i cannot fathom is people who speed up when an overtaking lane starts

I don't know if your being sarcastic or not, but either way i agree/disagree with you.

60mph is slow on some A roads, and an indicated 50 is more like 47mph.

So yes i agree/disagree, it is a big difference.

Yes it is illegal, you are not allowed to undertake on a motorway, i try to avoid it, but sometimes it is necessary, if risky.

If the outside lane is only going 50 *due to traffic* and the inside lane is clear then you are ok to undertake then.

Otherwise, don't do it.
