What does this symbol mean on the forum?

I've noticed this symbol a lot recently on OcUK, as I'm not familiar with txt speak (assuming it is a form of this), what does it mean :confused:

Does it mean shocked (as in eyes raised)?

it's a smiley face :-)

. The : are the eyes and the / is a wonky mouth. It's supposed to show a confused face.

Fair enough but if it means confused then I would probably use this smiley instead :confused:
