I got my x-fi xtreme music today (was not bought from ocuk) and was just wondering what your xtreme music card looks like? According to the creative website, it should look like this: http://images.creative.com/iss/images/corporate/artwork/xtrememusic_pdt_hi.jpg

But mine has the little black box in the top right hand corner like shown here on the x-fi elite pro: http://images.creative.com/iss/images/corporate/artwork/XFiPro_pdt_hi.jpg
(which is pretty cool actually cos its got a symbol on it that glows red :D)

I've also noticed there is a black heatsink on mine where the creative processor thing is on both cards. So whats the deal? Have i been sent a X-fi elite pro? I'm not sure how i can check as my card came in a total random green box containing only the card and an install cd.

Thanks for the help :D

edit: here is what my card looks like and everything that came with it

Well mine has the heatsink, but not the little plastic box. Looks a lot like a Fatal1ty that does.

Best way to tell is go on the creative autoupdate and it will detect your card and tell you what model it is.

i just did what you said on the creative website and it says:

Products on your system
Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Gamer Fatal1ty Pro, DR release 2.7.4

lol :D

and yea andy, great card! very pleased since i upgraded from a soundblaster live! 5.1 which is about 5-6 years old :p

what numbers am i looking for on the memory chip? i just wanna double check, will post the number thats on mine in sec :)

edit- ok really confused now, jsut checked my card and say that it says sb0460 on the actual card itself in the top left corner and not just on a sticker at the back, though its detected as a fatal1ty on the creative site

anyway, the number on top of the memory says "48LC32M16A2" (not sure if the 1 is a 1 or an i). ill do a quick google and see if i can find some info.
