What drivers should I install ?

I have a gigabyte ex58-ud5 rev.1 / Windows 7 64bit and running ssd drive (s) along with some more non-ssd drives


Do I need to install the chip set driver ?

Do I need to install the Realtek LAN driver ?

and last but not leaset

Do I need to install the SATA RAID/AHCI driver even though im not using RAID?

Use the sata 2 ports as normally the onboard sata 3 ports are slower with ssds

use the blue sata ports 1-6 not the white ones and disable the onboard sata and raid controller in bios

raid will be 2 of the 4 white ports which are the onboard separate sata controller which you can ignore and disable in bios

thanks but I don't have sata 3, I've connected the ssd to sata 0 (1st port) and enabled sata in the bios, for ahci mode
