Been with BSM for a while but didn't find them that good and they are the most expensive driving schools.

Been looking at Alan's driving school and karen's driving school. I've been driving with my parents now for a while. I already know how to drive just need about 10 hours to polish up.

Anyone recommend any good driving schools in the south east?

cheers. :)

Thats about as usefull as someone asking for a takeout and you recommending a curry house 300 miles away.

Speak to locals, go with an independant would be my advice.

Totally agree. Independent instructors need to be good enough to get their own reputation. Large driving schools tend to be a bit more patchy.

what do you mean by "THEY" did you try one or more of their other instructors? as just like in any busines there are good and bad. dont tar them all with the same brush.

but yes ask mates who they used.

Ok thanks, I'll ask around.

BSM are just way more expensive and it's not like their instructors are the best around.
They quoted my over £500 for 10 hours and some of the local instuctor are doing it for £150.

Someone told me the AA are good?

Rodger Brunt!

Not really much help to you as hes a local independant from round my way. But I was tought to drive by the same person who taught Jenson Button! :)

where abouts in Essex?
if you go with Alans, ask for Ron Morgan he is an excellent instructor

They'd get a thumbs up from me. Can't fault their professionalism and attitude and they were extremely competitive on their prices.

But when all is said and done it's more about the person sat beside you in the car than the company you're spending your money with.

Define "South East"

I know a very good independent who does Hornchurch/Romford etc areas.

oops derr nevermind lol, not thinking properly today:D

edit: says national driving school on their website so there may be one near you?

I see loads of bill plants around halifax and manchester too, so they're not just local. In fact, their slogan is "your national local driving school" or something similar
