I currently have only a single monitor - the Asus PB278Q.

I love it but I am beginning to feel desperately the need to have more stuff on the screen. Right now I can only have two things on screen - one of the left half and one on the right half. This isn't enough. Now - here are the options I see for myself.
1. Buy another one of the same monitor and have two side by side. The only problem here would be that I would have two fat bezels in the middle of my view. Can I use a monitor arm to improve this?
2. Buy another two of the same monitor and have three side by side. This would give me one whole monitor in the centre. However my desk is not big enough to fit three and honestly three is more than I need right now.
3. Replace the one I have with a brand new 4K monitor.
4. Is there some decent virtual desktop solution I've missed? Feel free to suggest these though I'm more interested in monitor setup recommendations.
My question is: what multi monitor setup do you have and what do you recommend for a standard ikea desk length? And how does monitor setup affect gaming - do you game only on one side?
Thanks.
