I want to connect my PC (DVI) to my LCD TV (HDMI). Do I need a cable which the DVI end is dual link, or would single link be sufficent? Would picture quality be any different?

Also would all cable be able to go from DVI-HDMI and HDMI-DVI?

Thanks

go to the popular auction site, and search monster 400. these are amazing cables, mine goes to 1080p of my latop to my 42" pana. they have a great range on there, for good prices. search monster 400 DVI to HD

No don't buy a Monster cable, when it comes to HDMI/DVI the cable either works or it doesn't, there's no evidence to suggest a more expensive cable can improve image quality.

corrected for you :)

seriously dont buy monster, its over hyped overpriced rubbish.

wouldn't a DVI to HDMI adaptor do the trick, then buy a HDMI cable from that well known categloue place, that way you will have a HDMI cable for other uses. or is that just overcomplicating matters?

Guys before you all start slagging off Monster (like I normally do :D) do what fearnace says 'go to the popular auction site, and search monster 400'

it must be some unbranded cable of somesort, only cost £6.99 and looks pretty well made, of course its a digital cable so it will be as good as the next one, but for that cash its a fair price.
