hi i have overclocked my 3200+ venice to 2.6GHZ by changing the ddr voltage and the cpu freq, i put the mem on quto and it has gone to 133MHZ and my htt multi is on auto and that has gone to 800MHZ, my multi is on 10x (its max setting). I am on 2.7 volts and cant go any higher the cpu freq is on 260.
so what else can i do to overclock my system? :D

ok, ill set everything back to factory settings in the bios and ill find some overclocking advice for athlon64. i havnt touched the cpu voltage (vcore) all i did was set mem and htt multi to auto the enable manual ai overclocking and kept raising the cpu freq by 5mhz when it became unstable i raised the ddr voltage and then kept raising the cpu freq by 5mhz until it again became unstable and the ddr voltage was at 2.7v :D

will read up later going out also whats the best cpu cooler i could get, i was thinking sythe ninja (dont want to spend too much, about £25 max :D )

i have just started to read and it mentioned that you need a 20A +12v rail to overclock well and i only have a +3.3v rail (not sure of amperage) the psu i have came with the ocuk value rainbow case bottom one
so i am looking at getting another psu so what would you recommend :D

MADNESS it doesnt have a 12v rail at alll??

lolol

i never said the ocuk value case came with a +12v rail i said it came with a +3.3v rail but wouldnt i be better off buying a psu with a +12v rail if i want to overclock? :D

hi i know i started this AGES!! ago but just thought i'd try overclocking it again after buying my new case 2 days ago (Sonata II) so i went to the link you guys gave me and started reading i gt up to A64 mathmatics and saw 'reference clock' and i havnt got a clue what it is, so i thought if i saw it in the bios then i might remember but i cant find it anywhere

i waited until now because a few weeks after making this the psu blew on me so as i had hardly any money i went out and brought another OCUK reainbow case and saved abit of money and brought the Sonata II which has a decent quality and higher wattage psu :D
