So my current set up is:

Mobo: Gigabyte ga a55m ds2
APU: Amd 3670k 2.7ghz
Psu: Unbranded 300 Watt
Case: Unbranded Matx case
Gpu: Onboard
Ram: 2x4gb Crucial. (not sure on Mhz, CpuID says PC3-10700h (667 MHz) if anyone can help decipher?)
Harddrive: 1TB Seagate.

What i'm wanting to do with my system is Audio Recording, some Gaming, e.g. Guildwars 2, Borderlands 2. and possibly a DVD here and there, I'm also wanting to do a dual monitor set up.

Taking some advice from an earlier thread i've decided on:
Sapphire HD 7770 OC EDITION 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £107.99
CM Storm Scout Gaming Case - Black £69.98
Cooler Master Silent Pro Modular 500W '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply £54.98
TOTAL: £232.96
I also picked up a 60gb SSD that was on offer earlier in the week as a boot drive.

I'll be buying this on finance, so i need to spend around another 100 quid to qualify, so what else could i do to improve performance?

Cheers, Dave.

What are your needs? You say you do audio recording. What does this require in terms of hardware inputs/outputs etc?
Listen to a lot of music with good headphones or decent hi fi?

Oh yeah, forgot cooler. Good catch Idleman.

i use a line 6 interface (which functions as a sound card) i only use it to record acoustic guitars, electric guitars and bass, as i program the drums. i use a pair of KRK rp6 g2 monitors. I think i'll go with Idlemans, suggestion though and go the OC route, added in some extra LED fans and stuff and i'm all set to go, Cheers to both of you for your input.

Dave.
