what email clients do you use

My friend has gone over to Windows 8.1 on a new laptop which had windows vista on it and she was using Windows Mail.
She cannot use that now with 8.1 She has a yahoo email and prefers a PC based program to run it rather than web based.
What would you guys she use? Outlook.com? Thunderbird? Thanks

We use Thunderbird at work. As of the latest version 38.0.1 it actually feels quite stable.
And this is easy to setup a yahoo email with? Thanks

I use Thunderbird for my private work, Outlook for normal work and gmail for personal use.

for gmail I use my web browser, for my work email and my private personal email I use MS outlook.

For Outlook 2010, home i use browser based gmail.
Used a couple including Thunderbird and Postbox, but currently using Mailbird as my main email client. Handles my 11 email accounts nicely!

Yes, should be easy enough.
When Thunderbird runs for the first time an account creation screen will pop up. When it detects your @yahoo.com email, it will attempt to auto detect the correct settings.
'Should' be a piece of cake!
