What EQ do you use in winamp?

Why can't you control Foobar with your wireless keyboard? I certainly can!

I'm fairly sure that I got phone control working with a plugin once as well...

But anyway, can't you use AISO4ALL even if it doesn't support perfectly native AISO?

I've used both, when playing using asio4all it's fine but as soon as another sound using directsound starts to play (mediaplayer/website embedded video etc it starts to lag or chop or randomly BSOD. I kow it's supposed to bypass the creative driver whilst using ASIO but there is a compatibility issue here somewhere so I just use directsound out in hardware accel mode through winamp instead.

My logitech keyboard software does not support foobar and I prefer not to use global hotkeys as I have other apps using them...

The soft rock EQ setting is a "rock 'n' roll smile" that makes bad speakers sound better. I always use that if i'm using standard PC speakers. If you're using an EQ, you're effectively making up for weak points in your system.

One tip to consider if you must use an EQ is to defeat before you gain - i.e. instead of boosting the bass and treble, move the midrange down. This helps to avoid clipping and distortion.

Well I turned the eq of even the default one and I have now got use to it and you can indeed hear more stuff in the back ground, still got a bit of bass on the amp though.

Should deff try it with EQ disabled, sounds a bit weird to start with though.
