Hi Guys,

I will be in need of a fan controller of some sort to go in my 800D and not look silly, it will power or need to power 3x 120mm on top rad, 2x 120mm on bottom rad, plus 4 or 5 case fans.

I would like to be able to knock them as close too silent as i can. I dont mind wiring the rad fans so they are all on one channel if the Controller can handle that.

What do you suggest chaps.

Much love.

I'd get the FC5 over the FC6 due to the higher per-channel power (30W per channel).

Are you looking for any kind of temperature driven automatic control? If you were, then try the Lamptron Touch for similar specs (30W/channel, 6 channels), but auto and manual fan control. I use one with my D5, 2 38mm thick fans and my rear case fan. All are temperature controlled and adjust as required.

Of course you can, that's why Lamptron controllers are so good. I run my D5 at around 7-8V normally, and whack it up to 12V when required (which is rarely). Keeps the noise down.

Bear in mind that you need a controller with plenty of power output on the channels (30W for the Touch, D5 can use ~24W).

So Lamptron FC8 OR Lamptron Touch?

I would ideally like a Temperature display too, but if the FC8 is the one to go for i could use another device for temps.

Do you need 8 channels with 30W each? I'd almost guarantee that you don't. It's the kind of fan controller you use if you're using push-pull with Deltas on a MoRa II and have two pumps which you also want to control using the fan controller. The FC Touch does most of that (2 channels and 60W less), but is no slouch, and also has temperature readouts, voltage/rpm monitoring, and an auto function. And it's cheaper.
