My motherboard only has one system fan socket + CPU fan socket, so I bought this adaptor.

I have a Corsair H50 (plugged into CPU and the other fan header). I've got one front 120mm fan, 2 side 120mm fans and 1 top 140mm fan.

Because of that adaptor, two fans will be 12V and the other two 5V. What would you recommend for the coolest temps? Also, should I have the fans intake or exhaust?

Before my fans were exhausting and it idled at 43, now its intake it idles at 37-36 so i guess intake. Make sure u have a dust filter o regularly clean the radiator otherwise dust builds up and u get higher temps

If you have to stick to the 12v/5v setup then do this:

Front 120 Intake 12v
Side 120 Intake 5v each
Top 140 Exhaust 12v

Should work nicely and keep very close to a neutral case pressure :)

Make sure the h50 is drawing air into the case (usually fitted on the back) with everything else fitted as 23jmz07 said.
