what fans

when upgrading the fans on rads...what ones would people recommend ? i've heard of gentle typhoon etc but not sure what one to get.. I've EK 360 rad

I also will be spray painting the fins to stand out more under uv light, so if the material aint really suitable for that then don't include it

Well I would have suggested Scythe GT but they are out of stock

Mind due I did buy 4 of them while they was on weekly

I've always thought go for a fan with high RPM but quiet. Might sound silly. But you can always make the fan go slower and thus quiet. But if you need the high RPM's then you still have it there if needed.

The GT's are also fairly easy to take apart if you want to spray them too

Well its down to your hearing and size of rad. I'm not to sure about the EK range.

But the best way is to test it. If you have a fan controller you can quite easily change the RPM of the fan to a point where it is quiet for you. Check temps of your components you are cooling (CPU GFX card waterver) and check if you are happy with them.

You could then up the RPM bit by bit and see what difference in temps it has compared to the amound of sound it is kicking out.

Least thats how I would do it.

If your radiator has 13+ FPI then get decent high RPM fans with high static pressure.
if you have a 10 or lower FPI radiator then grab some 1K RPM or below fans or get some high RPM ones and use a fan controller to limit them.
