What features do I need from an AV Receiver?

I'm slowly building up the self-justification to purchase an AV Receiver to pair with some old TDL RTL 3 speakers. As with many things, the more you look into it, the more you end up convincing yourself that those more expensive features are vital, until you get bored of the whole affair of deciding.

My immediate requirements are for an amp to plug Sky Q into so I need hdcp 2.2, apparently. I'll not immediately be setting up surround, centre channels or a subwoofer, but it's important that I can stream from the Amazon Music app at as high quality as I can. I have read that Bluetooth streaming is heavily compressed and that apple airplay is much better quality. The trouble is, I'll be moving to android soon so will lose airplay. Also, amazon music won't cast to chrome audio.

Is Bluetooth streaming to an av amp really that much worse? Does having a wifi enabled receiver being anything to the party? There's a Yamaha receiver for £220 that looks like what I need, but is only Bluetooth enabled, with no other connectivity, which I am still tempted by.

Edit - I have a Fire Stick, which shows my amazon music collection when I plug it in to my TV. Will that bring any benefit?

Another option that'll get you a bettrr avr for the same sort of money is buying 2nd hand. You should be able to grab one of last years enrty level denons for 200 odd. Look for Denon x1200w and denon x2200w. Im
