Hi all, brand new to this site and upgrading, had my pc for a while now and only has onboard graphics, thinking i'd like to try a graphic card but only do pc stuff , photo's, odd dvd , like it to be silent, seen people told to go for ati 3450 . would i see any benefit. ? cheer,s.

The only real benifit would be improved image quality. So if your running a nice LCD screen and not planning on gaming then yeah I'd think about it (but otherwise save your cash for something else)

If you're not doing heavy multimedia decoding (such as HD content e.g. H264 etc.) or the latest games then buying a discrete graphics card is pointless. Stick to the onboard.
