What first game to get?

I’ve just got my new PC and boy does it run Counterstrike Source so much better than my old system!! Problem is, I don’t have broadband anymore – so need a good single player game to get going with. I think I’ve whittled it down to three based on how much I loved Halflife 1+2, anyone care to sway me either way?

1: Far Cry (Is it true this can be had for free?)
2: Call of Duty 2 (Bargain at £15 delivered)
3: Bioshock

Damn you guys are fast - and good responses!

I've decided to buy CoD2 as its a bargain at £15 for GOTY version. Next time I'm at my friends house I'll download Farcry free version. I tried to look for a link last night but they were all for US only. Anyone know a good source for UK download?

Am I right in thinking HL2 cinematic is just a patch giving loads of hi-res models etc? The screen shots I saw looked amazing!

When I finally get broadband I'll get BF2142 - looks a good multiplayer game
