What flash for my aging 300D?

Been looking on the bay and spotted the YN468 or YN465 ETTL setups.

My only concern is the listings state:-

Suitable for:

Canon 40D 50D 350D 400D 450D 500D 1000D

Is my aging 300D missing soething to stop the TTL side of the flash working?

I had one

My sister now uses it. Have a nose on the Canon site as I can't remember off hand, but I think the 550EX supports it

Was looking for something more affordable than a canon flash

At the end of the day i'd imagine it will work on manual if nothing else
