what fps can i expect?

well im ordering a new setup real soon and im pretty sure im getting this...

amd athlon am2 3800+ single core
1gb corsair value ddr2 5400 ram (2 x 512mb)
leadtek 7600GT 256mb
msi k9n neo skt am2

im paying £113 for the 7600GT and its the cheapest one.

what i would like to know is what would be a rough estimate for fps on cod2 @ reasonably high settings @ 1024 x 768, and half life 2 on 1024 x 768.

any estimates would be helpful as i will know more what to expect. also i guess from reviews this card is the best in the price range, this true? any hidden competitors out there?

It is the best card in it's price range at the mo, Half Life 2 will run at very high fps, it's worth adding some AA or AF to improve visual quality as you really wont notice any noticable drop in framerate.

COD2 though I know eats GPU power so is likely to be less friendly to you, although I've had no experience with it so wait until someone else more knowledgable comes along

COD2 might die a bit of a death at highest setting with only 1gb ram mind.

whats the spec of your current computer ?

its not bad fps for my spec, (ive had this like 4 - 5 years)

p4 1.5ghz
640mb ram
ati radeon 9200 se
msi mobo

i get 50fps on cod2 @ 800 * 600 and ive completed hl2 on this poopy rig! most of the time was spend on loading screens tbh.

i get solid performance in COD2 with my athlon at 2.75Ghz and two GTs in SLI, its totally slowdown free
