Hi,

As the title says what fps are you guys getting on similar systems?

I am getting 60 fps max which I think is quite low.

I just did a 3dmark 06 and the score was 8081, thought this was low too.

E6300 oc to 2.24
8800 GTX 768mb
4gb Geil 4-4-4-12 RAM

Thanks

SLIPPERZ :)

Same thing i have then. Try going into your bios and upping the FSB... i have mine at 460 with the multi at 7 at the moment. Temps idle at 45ish, but i dont have the fan on max. I have also upped the voltages to around 1.37 or something.

Just got it up to 2.8 @ 41 degs

Up the voltage a bit if it starts playing up. You should be able to get well over 3ghz if you havnt needed to up it to get to 2.8ghz
Its at 3ghz now. Voltage was at 1.45 i have dropped it to 1.4 temp is at 41-43 ish

Now i will have to try 3dmark again.......

Still only getting 60 fps on cod4 though with vsync disabled..

Have you disabled it via the drivers and game menu?

I cant see v sync in the game menu? But i have forced off in nvidia control panel is this what you mean by drivers?

Also went for another 3dmark and got a blue screen upped voltage to 1.43 will try again.

Is it normal for the cpu test to be 0fps and really slow?

Click on game options > graphic options and disable "sync every frame"

You could also type the following into the console to find out what your framerate is capped at, then change it to whatever number you wish.

com_maxfps

To enable the console go into the options menu > game options > and click enable console.

And yes it's normal to hit 0fps on the cpu test, mine goes from 0-1, sometimes it'll hit 2 on the second cpu test.

Great I will go and try that.

My new 3dmark score is 10261 from 8081 :) I guess that is more like it? or should I be getting more still with a 8800gtx?

Okay...erm, have tou ended all background processes that you dont need running?

I cant think of what else it could be... try going into your bios and set the PCI-E frequency to 101 (im guessing if it was a frequency roblem the score would be a ton lower...but it cant hurt to try.)

Also, perhaps look at the clocks, make sure theyre right. I cant think of why else youd be getting a score lower than mine with a better graphics card

My pci-express frequency is set to auto at the moment

What do you mean by the clocks?

Yeah try setting it to 100 or 101.

By clocks i mean core and memory frequency..i doubt thats the roblem but its worth a look. You can find them in the nvcontrol panel i think...or use something like atitool, or rivatuner to find them.

I cant think of any other reason why your score would be low...unless you were running 3dmark at a higher res..which unless you paid for it you wont be

576 core
900 memory

what res do you run it at? I have a registered copy.
