What 'free stuff' do you get from work?

Not much considering. Cinema tickets, the occasional dvd/cd, pen drive etc. The buyers/project owners get most of the good stuff. One guy gets free tickets to pretty much anything he likes but nothing has made it as far as the development team thus far :(

Laptop,
Blackberry,
40ppm,
Medical,
6% contributed pension
Death in service.
and anything we don't use anymore in IT :)

comes in handy, oh and free VIP tickets to the O2 when I remind the AM.. :)

erm... laptop and blackberry - which are work's items really.
When in the office free bread, spreads, biscuits, innocent smoothies, fruit, tea, decent coffee, coke/sprite/fanta/dr.P
I get to test buy things from websites under £20 generally: best was a zen stone, worst was a set of frilly coat hangers.

when on business travel i get much the same as firestarter - everything paid for (although not always first/business class)

oh and probably most importantly i get free parking at work - worth about £10 a day round here!

I don't get anything really, but i did get a monitor which was going to be scrapped otherwise!

My GF works above a company that trials new electical products and she has so far been given a DECT phone, USB CCTV camera and a Sat-Nav, oh and she brings home bags and bags of pens from her own job!

Beers on Fridays, lunch out once a month, network gaming after hours if people are staying late, Blackberry, pension. Working in t'Internet ain't all bad :p

Quite a bit actually...

Games across all formats
Consoles
Posters, t-shirts, limited edition stuff for games/movie releases prior to launch
Junk food Friday with beers etc (Domino's usually)
Blackberry, Laptop, car, mobile, top spec pc with 3 monitors.
Gym membership and a gym at work
Games room, BBQ and chill out room kitted out with goodies
Sweets
Wembley stadium tickets with hospitality
Lots of free lunches and events like Baftas
Profit sharing bonus's, plus monthly bonus's like holidays or activity days (paintballing/trackdays)

The more I think about it, the more I realise this is my perfect career. Life couldn't get much better, I am lucky boy and trying to enjoy it while it lasts :) :)

What do you do mate ^?

Sounds like a quality job :)

I get er, pretty much nothing from work. Occasionally a free cake :( Peeh. Part time shop work for the lose.

Free train travel up to a 70 mile radius of London.
Discounts from selected shops (Subway 10% off for example).
And little respect from the public.

Blackberry with all expenses paid
Health/dental cover
Quad core/dual monitor PC workstation
A pub lunch now'n'then

And a few others that I can't disclose :p

I do wonder how many people with decent benefits are being paid far below their industry average.

I'd rather just have more money, but yes I get things like laptops/health/dental etc.

Well, is it a perk when it's on company time?

It would be if they are paying for your holiday plane ticket, i suppose traveling is a perk if you get to spend time outside work hours at your destination.

Yea like i said perks of the job really, not so much free stuff, free stuff is what you get to keep, in that line nothing really, laptop etc would all have to be handed back should i leave the company. Lots of time outside work hours to go and explore just like i would on holiday, depends who you go with as to how much i venture out and about.

Another perk is when i'm away from home in europe i get £75 per day / when out of europe or offshore i get £100 a day ontop of my wage, but again not free stuff :)
