What future for AMD ?

Howdy all, ive been out of the loop on CPU`s for a little while and i will admit to always having a softer spot for AMD but from the bits ive been reading around the net it would appear its been a real bad year for them and ATi.

So, my questions two fold as im sure lots of you have way more information than what ive gleamed from google. Firstly, what future do you think AMD has in terms of products, and will these products give them enough of an edge to stop me from turning to Intel in January when i build my new beasty...

In jan. 2008 the Phenom should be out, native quad core cpu from AMD, would be a match for the intels. How well they will be has to be seen yet

So it's a CPU with a GPU inbuilt ?? so abit like an onboard graphics card ? but not a mickey mouse thing...

ooo i heard something about these, should be a good way for economy systems to finally get some decent graphics power with onboard solutions, it could also be quite revolutionary for high end applications id imagine,

i can understand doing it for basic systems and mobiles.
But i can 't see it helping big gaming machines..... i mean whats it gonna do that the GPU can't, maybe if they put an inbuilt PhysX core that would help

Unless AMD are gonna make CPUs that are ATI dependent and then have the GPU do some thing diffrent !?!?! but then hows gonna make boards like that for them !>?>!>?
