Hi all,

Basically as pc games are now my main souirce of gaming I miss the feel you get with the console controller systems.

Now already owning a PS2 and a controller I figured why let the controller go to waste? So i bought a pc Converter made by Logic 3. My issues is I cannot get the controller to work IN GAME, i.e. to select menues within the game I still have to use keyboard and mouse which is annoying.

Another problem is say BF2 the controller seems to be hopeless for moving the soldier around maybe it's the way I calibrate I am not sure but either way it's damn difficult.

Flying planes in BF" are also very difficult with just keyboard and mouse now I know a Joystick would be ideal but do I really need a controller and a joystick?

So what add ons do you guys use for games, particular BF2 and what are some good controllers to use with the pc, or if you have my issue and know how to solve please enlighten me!

Thanks.

Well for FPS games I use the Nostromo N52 programmed to work with whatever game im playing + the mouse. For driving games I use a PS2 controler, but yeah I still have to use the KB for the game menu's.
Never played BF2 but I would be suprised if you could beat an N52 setup properly and the mouse.

Keyboard + mouse 4tw!

Would really like to get a decent mouse though, it can be hard to aim for long headshots in FPS with mine as it is.. doesn't move up a pixel or two on the verticle axis.. more like half a dozon :(

buy a FF wheel+pedals for racing games
buy a razor copperhead mouse for fps to allow on-the-fly sensititvity changes
oh and just use the keyboard and mouse for BF2, with practice its quite easy

For fps games you would be crazy not to use a keyboard + mouse, but for things like driving games and sports games i use the 360 pad, just plugs in USB and works, plus all new games have configurations built in for the 360 pad so it just works from the start

Belkin Nostromo N52 + Diamonback Mouse for Shooters
Playstation 3 Controller for Racing (Kboard for menus)

Xionic

A Logitech gamepad which is basically a PS2 controller but for PC's. And a Microsoft Sidewinder Joystick, which I bought for throttle control in BF1942. I use keyboard to fly but didn't want to hold down the throttle key, so i got that to make it easier. Also use it in helicopters for roater control.
