Hi.
Can anyone identify this game:
Its usually in every arcade, a sega game i belive, its basically racing across a large landscape that changes between each checkpoint.

I remember playing it on the master system but cant remember what its called.

There was also a game similar to what you describe on the master system called Hang On but it featured motorbikes.

It came "built in" on my Master System with Duck Hunt haha.
 
Outrun is my favourite arcade racer. Always beat my mates at it in town. It's all about the drifting.

Would love another one actually. But maybe a much... much bigger version now.

Well that's the thing though. In the arcades I watch people playing it and they don't hit the break, turn the wheel and then slam on the gas. So they just end up doing that stupid crash or slimming the side.
 
Do you have a PSP? Outrun 2 is out for that, and its great, all the classic arcade games are slowly coming out, i spent my holiday reaquainting with Crazy Taxi 1 & 2 on the psp.
 
Outrun 2 on the original Xbox has the original 1986 version as an unlockable feature, only reason I kept my copy and play it on the 360 now and again, I was 9 years old when I discovered this game, been one of my favourites ever since.
