I have 4 or 5 games that were purely bought for points and Spiderman Friend or Foe that people told me was good, but i ain't so sure :) - I'm not in the points ho mood lately so am looking for something with a bit of substance.

Anyway, I'm looking for a decent game I can get my teeth into. Any recommendations?

Thanks

Burnout Paradise? I reckon it would take a long time to complete (I assume you like games where you have to complete a lot of stuff if you are into achievements)

p.s. You actually buy the games for points? I just assumed people rented them, surely you lose money when you sell them off once you get 1000/1000 etc?

Edit:

Mr "Predictable" :)

Mr "fingers hurt if I type more than 2 sentances" :)

Not really fussed how long it will take tbh, just want something that i can immerse myself in. Can get older games very cheap as mate works in a console shop.

i'm amazed people are points driven with their games to the extent they buy them. Sorta defeats the purpose of gaming doesnt it, if you race through to get points?

Not having a dig, just dont understand the mentality is all - no offence :)

none taken.

Still, I've only played 10 games since July 2007 - Hardly loads is it? I really haven't got the time tbh - although i wish i did.

The purpose of gaming is very subjective and for me it all depends on what game im playing. For me, some games are meant to have loads of time spent on them and to be taken slowly (COD4 single player campaign) and others are always going to be a quick job no matter what your view is on gaming. lol, all that was soooooooooo off topic :)

If you havent played Bioshock mate - play it. If you have I would say Assassins creed or mass effect... If you have done all three the orange box? :p

Have being looking at getting it for an age mate. I may just go and buy it tomorrow, place it on my desk in full view and make myself play it - sure i wont be disappointed as everyone at OCuK is always singing it praises.

Yup played EDF2017 for 45 hours plus. Twas 5 levels off doing it on hardest and lost my save. Didn't have the heart to do at all again. Still, amazing retro arcade style game.

What he said, playing through mass effect now and it is definitely up there so far with bioshock and the darkness. BTW is it worth trading in cod 4 for the new burnout?

Just a quick go in a game shop and its seems immense and ultra smooth - E.g. none of the lag you experienced in single player like in revenge.
