Not in a 'order it in the post' way but like Steam. What games can you buy, download and play directly from the internet?

I am really looking for something to dig my teeth into as I'm getting bored of FM2006 and BF2. :D

i heard you can buy the BF2 expansion pack and download it straight to the computer. I bought DoD Source as well. Quite handy unless the games are incredibly big

EA Downloader and Steam that is.

D2D is probably your best selection of games though, never used it myself but FP servers always give me fullspeed download

With this, is it like steam? (In the respect that you can re-download after reformats or the like?)

Taken from their 'About' Section

Your purchase stays in our records, so you can download and re-install your game anytime in the event of a hard drive crash. Of course, you can always back up your downloaded game to a CD as well - each time you install your game, our digital-rights management server will check the number of active licenses you have (the number of copies you are allowed to run at the same time.) Don't worry - if you ever have any trouble activating your license or downloading your game again, our customer support team is always here to help you out.

Edit: Just realised i have used it before to buy planetside, no problems, uninstalled the game once, never tried to install it again though because i hated it

its in dollars

REALLY?????

Im not stupid, i can tell the difference between $ and £ :D

In general, ordering games as a direct download is actually more expensive then buying the game online to be delivered or even through high street shops!

City of Villians for instance cost me £5 more to direct download than if id of ordered it from a well known online retailer!

Wow, I went on that D2D and got an account, just logged in again and it said I had 6 accounts associated with my username - some of them are from like 6 years ago. :o

Brings back some clan memories :D
