I only play clash of clans and clash royal now, battlecry I haven't got a clue what im doing, and mafia is just boring

ive just started boom beach, HQ level 5 now
Don't understand this game to Clash of clans, gold is always full, not enough timber to build
so easy to level up quickly without attacking unlike clash of clans
