What games wouldn't you pay £1.76 for?

Judging by that screenshot of Rogue Warrior... it doesn't look like the AI is upto much either. He's standing shooting at your exact location, which couldn't possibly be known (no doubt the AI programmers were from the Farcry2 school of bull**** where all the foliage in the world doesn't obscure there vision), but seemingly oblivious to the set of crates in front of you.

Yeah I thought that. And the fact the crates look absolutely solid yet he is there shooting at them, I don't notice any damage effects in the other screens which is why I am led to believe there is no destroyable scenery implemented in this game.

£1.76, Hmmmm I would buy any game for that.
Kinda reminds me of my Amstrad days when you could buy a 'Quatro Action Pack' for a few quid and 3 out of the 4 games were crappy.
This just seems like a thread for people to have some grudges against a few games.

Even if it is only £1.76, for shoddy product that is still £1.76 wasted.

You sound like one of those people who would say: 'Wow, look at this (rubbish) game for £30, but wait! It's 50% off! bringing it down to £15, I'm saving £15! bargain!'.

When actually you are not *saving* anything, you're wasting £15 on something that is **** poor.

If you think that, then your wrong.
Buying games without a demo is a risk. You either take that risk and get a great game. I did with Giants, Transport Tycoon and Duke Nukem (off the top of my head). Didnt try the demo, took the risk and found some games that Ive loved. Ok that was in the days of super slow internet and now I can download a gig+ demo in less than an hour to try out a game before I buy.

Plus, this was asking if you would risk £1.76 on a game. Not £15. Not £30.

£1.76 is nothing. Its almost totally risk free on a game you may enjoy.

I stand by my opinion that this is just a thread for people to spout out over games that they dont like the look of. The way some go on about how bad a game is, its almost like the dev team 'touched them in their private place'.

Perhaps your thoughts would be better served in the games you WOULD pay £1.76 for thread. Expecting anything but pages of slating of terrible games in this one is just foolish. It's kind of the point of the thread.

Saying that, look at the World of Goo - Pay what you think its worth. People were mostly tightarses about it and payed the minimum 1cent for it.
Not really about the games worth, more about how little they could get it for.

But expecting more from the OCUK forums is asking a bit much these days.

I think you're associating the monetary value as the reason for not buying the game. Personally i'd taken it as a "Use this thread to tell us which games were so bad, you wouldnt even buy it if it was £2" kind of thing.

Of course, this can only be decided in hindsight, as you dont know what games are that bad until you've played them and most likely spent more than £1.76 on them. So really, the whole thread is kinda hypothetical anyway.

And it's valid. I wouldn't pay £1.76 for Lost Planet if i could go back in time, because i wouldn't want to buy it at all. If it was free, i'd still ignore it. The game irritated me to the point of anger. But, it's hypothetical, because i already paid £30 for it some time ago.
